Contemporary Tales by Elisabeth Strigini

13 July-13 September 2012. For the first time the French artist Elisabeth Strigini is the protagonist of a great personal exhibition in Italy, entitled Contemporary Tales.

On display are a series of selected oil canvases, created between 2004 and 2012 with mixed techniques and divided in three sections: Fantasy, American Story and Portraits.

Strigini’s works are suspended between Surrealism and Pop Art, influenced by masters of the past such as Bruegel and Bosch, and recall the cartoons and the aesthetics of the 21st century.

A work, entitled Binky and inspired by the Bambi fairy-tale by Walt Disney, ends the exhibition and will be donated to the pediatric section of the Fatebenefratelli Hospital of Rome.
