Speciale Vespa

30 June-15 July 2012. On occasion of the 25th International Gathering of historical Vespas, which will take place in Milan from 7 to 8 July and bring together around Milan’s city centre over 300 Vespas from all over Europe, this exhibition, entitled Speciale Vespa, displays a series of unique two wheeled vehicles.

This event offers an occasion to rediscover the origins, the history and the evolution of this Italian scooter, which has become since 1946 a symbol of Italian taste, costume and style. Besides the most important models, manufactured by Piaggio, visitors are able to admire some true rarities such as the pedal Vespa 50, especially created for the French market, the Vespa sidecar, the Vespa Torpedo, designed by the flight engineer Corradino D’Ascanio in 1948.
