In Paradiso I, choreography by Matteo Levaggi. The young Italian choreographer, who has won recognition and success after a difficult beginning (he was one of Raffaella Carrà’s so-called “Carramba Boys” on commercial TV), is now presenting his work within important and intellectual contexts for contemporary dance. Dedicated to the idea of “Paradise”, Levaggi explains that this work has nothing to do with spirituality, but explores the human quest for happiness on earth – including a host of “side-effects” caused by the desire for self-satisfaction such as cosmetic surgery.
