Rome's Metro B will be closed from 18.30 on Saturday 28 April and all day Sunday 29 April, reopening on Monday 30 April at 05.30.
The closure is to allow for upgrading works on the line between the Bologna and Conca d'Oro stops.
There will be replacement "MB" shuttle buses which stop near the closed stations and follow the usual metro timetable.
The city's tram network from numbers 5 to 14 will not be operating during this time either, with a limited service for the number 19 while tracks are being replaced on Via Prenestina.
