9 February - 17 May 2010. Born in Oldenburg in 1954, Thomas Schütte is one of the most important German artists of his generation. Internationally recognised, he has work on permanent display in London's Tate Modern, New York's MoMA and the Art Institute of Chicago. As an artist, he is concerned with such fragile themes as loneliness, vulnerability and human despair, while his work is executed in a variety of media including sculpture, photography and drawing.
